Yerrinbool is a small village tucked into the bush in the north of the Highlands, with homes on large, leafy blocks and small rural properties. Living this close to the bush means termites, wasps and rodents are never far away.
We look after homes and businesses right across Yerrinbool. Every job gets the same thorough inspection, a clear explanation of what we find and a treatment that suits the property.
Bush and rural living brings its own pests. These are the ones we treat most around Yerrinbool.
European wasp nests in the ground, sheds and roof spaces, found and treated safely.
Bushland properties are at higher risk. Yearly inspections with radar, thermal imaging and moisture meters.
Bush rats and mice in sheds and roof voids, treated with locked bait stations.
Plenty of Yerrinbool properties have sheds, animals and open space, all of which give pests food and shelter.
Bigger blocks bring sheds, feed stores, water tanks and outbuildings, and all of them attract rodents, spiders and wasps. Pets and animals bring fleas. We treat the house and outbuildings together and give practical advice on keeping feed and storage areas pest-free.
With bush right on the boundary, Yerrinbool homes are close to natural termite colonies in trees and fallen timber.
Australian Standard AS 3660.2 recommends a termite inspection at least every 12 months. We use Termatrac radar, thermal imaging and moisture meters to check inside walls, subfloors and roof timbers, and for tricky properties Harry, our termite detection dog, sniffs out live activity. You get a custom written report with photos and clear recommendations.
Yerrinbool’s open, leafy blocks give European wasps room to build nests in the ground, in sheds and under eaves.
European wasps are an introduced species that thrives in the Highlands’ cooler climate. Nests hide underground, in wall cavities and in roof voids, and can grow very large by late summer. Unlike bees, they sting repeatedly and defend the nest aggressively. If you find one, don’t spray, block or dig it out yourself. Keep kids and pets clear and give us a call.
